Stub DFS Properties in Cloudera Runtime 7.1.7
Stub DFS is a service for storage-less clusters. Stub DFS should be used in clusters where services have a mandatory DFS dependency. Setting a dependency on Stub DFS allows those services to access core configuration files, including but not limited to core-site.xml.
Add the Stub DFS service to each cluster managed by Cloudera Manager that contains the services.
In Stub DFS, there is Storage Operations as a role type; assigning this role to a host means that whenever a "hdfs" equivalent command needs to be run (for example, Create Directory), it will be run on such a host. Ensure that you assign at least one Storage Operations role to a host of your preference.
