Multiple Namenodes configurations

This feature is not enabled by default in Cloudera Manager. You must first enable this feature in Cloudera Manager configuration. You can then configure HDFS service with multiple standby NameNodes.

Enabling multiple namenode support feature in Cloudera Manager

  1. Navigate to the /etc/default/cloudera-scm-server file.
  2. Add export CMF_FF_HDFS_MULTIPLE_SNN=true at the end of the cloudera-scm-server file.
  3. Restart the Cloudera Manager Service.
