What's new in Ozone

Increased default value of ozone.om.ratis.segment.size and ozone.scm.ha.ratis.segment.size

Previously, the default value of the ozone.om.ratis.segment.size and ozone.scm.ha.ratis.segment.sizeconfiguration parameters was 4 MB. Now, the default value is increased to 64 MB.

• The ozone.om.ratis.segment.size configuration parameter sets the size of the raft segment used by Apache Ratis on Ozone Manager.
• The ozone.scm.ha.ratis.segment.size configuration parameter sets the size of the raft segment used by Apache Ratis on SCM.

Increased default value of hdds.datanode.volume.min.free.space

Previously, the default value of the hdds.datanode.volume.min.free.space minimum free space configuration was 5 GB. Now, the default value is increased to 20 GB.

Removal of Ozone Snapshot Ordered Deletion configuration

The ozone.snapshot.ordered.deletion.enabled configuration property is removed and no longer takes effect. This property was originally introduced as a workaround for a race condition in Snapshot garbage collection. Since the underlying race condition bug has been resolved, the ordered snapshot deletion option is no longer required.
