Configuring TLS 1.2 for Cloudera Manager
Cloudera recommends that you secure the network connection between the Cloudera Manager server and the backend database using TLS (Transport Layer Security) 1.2 encryption. Failure to do this will result in exposing vulnerabilities to various advanced cryptographic threats. Use the following topics to learn how to enable TLS 1.2 between the Database Server and Cloudera Manager Server.
The first step in enabling TLS 1.2 for Cloudera Manager is to configure the Database Server
to accept TLS 1.2 connections. By configuring the Database Server to accept TLS 1.2
connections, it is ready to establish secure connections with the Cloudera Manager. To
enable TLS 1.2 on Database Server, perform the steps from Enabling TLS 1.2 on Database Server.
