You must configure the RegionServer role after you install the HBase
service.
The RegionServer role is not added by default when you install HBase, but it is
required for the HBase service to function properly.

Go to the HBase service.

Click the Instances tab.

Click the Add Role Instances button.

Select the host(s) where you want to add the RegionServer role and click
Continue.
The RegionServer role must appear in the instances list for the HBase
server.
