Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 removes support for several operating systems, databases, Python versions, and Java Development Kits (JDKs). To ensure a successful upgrade, verify that your environment meets these new requirements.

Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 SP1 (7.3.2.10000)

Database Support
Starting with Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 SP1, Cloudera deprecates the following databases, which are no longer recommended for use:
  • PostgreSQL 14
  • Including MariaDB 10.6 and all lower 10.x release series (such as 10.5 and 10.4)
  • Including MariaDB 11.3 and all lower 11.x release series (such as 11.2 and 11.1)
  • MySQL 8
Operating System
Starting with Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 SP1, Cloudera deprecates the following operating systems, which are no longer recommended for use:
  • Including RHEL or Oracle Linux version 9.5 and lower
  • RHEL 8.10 with FIPS mode enabled
  • RHEL 8.8 with FIPS mode enabled
  • RHEL or Oracle Linux 8.8
  • RHEL 8.9

Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2

Database Support
Starting with Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2, Clouderaremoves support for the following databases, which are no longer supported:
  • PostgreSQL 13
  • Oracle 19c (including 19c RAC)
Operating system
Starting with Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2, Cloudera removes support for the following operating systems, which are no longer supported:
  • SLES 15 SP4
  • Ubuntu 20.04
Python Support
Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 limits Python compatibility to modern versions, and now only supports Python 3.11. Consequently, Cloudera has removed support for:
  • Python 3.8
  • Python 3.9
  • Python 3.10
JDK support
To improve performance and security, Cloudera Runtime 7.3.2 consolidates Java support, and now only supports JDK 17. Consequently, Cloudera has removed support for:
  • Azul JDK 8, Open JDK 8, and Oracle JDK 8
  • sAzul JDK 11, Open JDK 11, and Oracle JDK 11
