Adding multiple child queues under a parent queue
Add child queues to your YARN queue hierarchy in Cloudera Manager by adjusting the configured capacity of existing sibling queues to equal 100%.
- Make sure the parent queue already exists.
- Decide how much of the parent's capacity each child queue gets.
- In Cloudera Manager, go to .
- Click the three vertical dots on the parent queue and select Add Child Queue.
-
Enter the name of the first child queue, for example
sub-queue1, and set the Configured Capacity to 100%. - Click Save.
- Click the three vertical dots on the same parent queue again and select Add Child Queue.
-
Enter the name of the second child queue, for example
sub-queue2, and set its Configured Capacity, for example 50%. -
Lower the Configured Capacity of
sub-queue1so that the capacities of all sibling queues add up to 100%. In this example, setsub-queue1to 50%. - Click Save.
- To add more child queues, repeat steps 5 to 8. Each time, adjust the capacities of the existing sibling queues so that their total stays at 100%.
The new child queues appear under the parent queue in the Queue Manager UI, each with its configured capacity.
