User Management

Review the Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) user management roles.

In the Cloudera Management Console instance, under the User Management page, a couple of roles are introduced:
  • MigConfigManager
  • MigConfigViewer

Note the following information related to the MIG user management roles:

  • If a user does not have any of these two roles, then the MIG Configuration tab does not show up on the Administration page.
  • If a user has been assigned the MigConfigViewer role:
    • It covers the READ operations.
    • Users with this role can open the MIG Configuration tab, and inspect the content, but cannot modify it.
    • By default, EnvironmentUser and DataSteward users have this role assigned.

  • If a user has been assigned the MigConfigManager role:

    • It includes everything from MigConfigViewer (READ operations) and includes the SAVE operations.
    • Users can open the MIG Configuration tab, inspect the content, and also modify and save it.
    • By default, PowerUser and EnvironmentAdmin users have this role assigned.
