Selecting the Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) cluster strategy

You can select the MIG cluster strategy based on your requirements.

Make sure you have the required roles to make these changes.
On the MIG Configuration tab, MIG supports three types of strategies.
  • Mixed - Indicates that every GPU can be sliced differently within a node. Users are allowed to set up the nodes in a heterogenous manner.
  • Single - Indicates that GPUs can be sliced, but on a node every GPU must be sliced uniformly. For example, if a GPU has 7 x 1g.10gb slices set, then all the other GPUs in the node must have these exact slices. Different nodes can use different slicing.
  • None - Indicates that MIG is disabled on the whole cluster. Users will not be able to slice up the GPUs with this strategy. It does not mean that workloads cannot run on these GPUs, but these would use the entire GPU.
