If you are using an Azure environment, upgrading the PostgreSQL database used by the Data Lake
and Cloudera Data Hub clusters also upgrades Azure Single Server to Azure
Flexible Server as Single Server is not supported with PostgreSQL 14.
Single Server to Flexible Server upgrades for Data Lakes and Cloudera Data Hub clusters have been temporarily deactivated because several
Cloudera on Azure customers have observed and reported Flexible Server capacity limitations in
their Azure subscriptions during the upgrade process and, currently, Cloudera is unable to
programmatically check whether the required capacity is available in a customer's Azure
subscription for a particular region.
The reactivation of upgrading to Azure Flexible Server is planned for January 2025. If in
order to be able to upgrade to Cloudera Runtime 7.3.1, you would still like
the have the option to upgrade to Flexible Server, contact Cloudera support.
For more information, see Upgrading Azure Single Server to Flexible Server. Make
sure to review both the database upgrade and the Azure Single to Flexible Server upgrade
documentation.
