When registering an AWS environment in CDP, you will be asked to select a DynamoDB table to use for S3Guard.
- Create a DynamoDB table by yourself and then select it during environment creation. If you select this option, make sure not to reuse the same table for more than one environment; If you do this, environment creation will fail.
- Have CDP create a new DynamoDB table with the name of your choice.
If you choose to create your own table, make sure that it fulfills the following requirements: When creating the DynamoDB table, you should create it in the same region as the rest of the environment and ensure to create a hash key and sort key with specific names ("parent" and "child") and data types ("string"), as shown here:
