Support matrix for Replication Manager on CDP Public Cloud

Replication Manager along with a suite of replication tools can be used to replicate data from CDH (version 5.13 and higher) clusters and CDP Private Cloud Base (version 7.1.4 and higher) clusters to CDP Public Cloud clusters. The supported Public Cloud services are Amazon S3 and Microsoft Azure ADLS Gen2 (ABFS). Replication Manager from HDP clusters to CDP Public Cloud Azure is a beta feature and is not available for general use.

Replication Manager supports a few replication use cases. You can use alternate methods to replicate Hive external tables and HBase when not supported by Replication Manager.

For the list of supported use cases, see the Introduction to Replication Manager topic and Supported use cases of HBase replication policies table.

The following tables list the use cases that are supported by Replication Manager and the use cases that support alternate replication methods. You can replicate data from the following source clusters:

For an alternate replication method for HBase, you can use the Operational Database Replication plugin. This plugin allows you to securely enable data replication for Apache HBase data in Data Hub and CDP Operational Database (COD) Experiences and it simplifies the SSL authenticated data replication between Apache HBase clusters in the cloud. For more information about this alternate replication method for HBase, see HBase data replication. To get the replication plugin, contact your Cloudera account team.
