Migration

Moving from Cloudera Flow Management 2.1.7, which is based on Apache NiFi 1, to Cloudera Flow Management 4.11.0, which is based on Apache NiFi 2, is a migration and not an upgrade. There is no in-place or rolling upgrade path between these two Cloudera Flow Management versions.

You can use the NiFi migration precheck feature to prepare for the transition from NiFi 1 to NiFi 2. For details, see the corresponding documentation.

To support the transition from Cloudera Flow Management 2.1.7 to 4.11.0, Cloudera provides a Migration Tool. This tool automates some complex and repetitive tasks required to convert flows for NiFi 2 compatibility, reducing manual effort and the risk of errors.
