Supported upgrade paths for Cloudera Flow Management

Cloudera recommends running NiFi on the Cloudera platform to take full advantage of the latest updates and features. You can upgrade to the latest version from earlier versions of Cloudera Flow Management on Cloudera Base on premises. Review the upgrade information carefully to ensure you understand the requirements for your specific upgrade scenario.

If you previously installed Cloudera Flow Management 4.10.0, you can upgrade directly to 4.11.0. This path supports a full in-place upgrade on Cloudera Base on premises without requiring data migration between clusters. There is no supported upgrade path from Cloudera Flow Management versions powered by NiFi 1 (2.1.7 and lower) to Cloudera Flow Management 4.11.0, but you can migrate your NiFi 1 data flows to Cloudera Flow Management 4.11.0 powered by NiFi 2.
