Managing Licenses

When you install Cloudera Manager, you can either upload your Cloudera Base on premises license or select a 60-day trial version.

Cloudera Base on premises offers the following two types of licenses:

  • Cloudera Base on premises Edition

When the license expires, you will no longer be able to access the Cloudera Manager Admin console to manage your clusters until you upload a valid license. However, your clusters will continue to function, your data will remain intact, and your jobs will keep running. To obtain a Cloudera Base on premises license, fill in the Contact Us form or call 866-843-7207

  • Cloudera Base on premises Edition Trial

The Cloudera Base on premises Edition Trial is a free 60-day trial that does not require a license file. When the 60-day trial period expires, you will no longer be able to access the Cloudera Manager Admin console to manage your clusters until you upload a valid license. However, your clusters will continue to function, your data will remain intact, and your jobs will keep running.

You can obtain a Cloudera Base on premises license to regain access to the Admin Console. To obtain a Cloudera Base on premises license, fill in the Contact Us form or call 866-843-7207.

You can use a trial license only once; when the 60-day trial period expires or you have ended the trial, you cannot restart the trial.
