Enabling Dual-Stack support for Hive

Enable IPv6 support for Hive in a dual-stack cluster.

By default, Hive is configured to use IPv4 as the preferred IP version. If your dual-stack cluster supports IPv6, you can enable this option within Cloudera Manager.

  1. Log in to Cloudera Manager as an Administrator.
  2. Go to Clusters > Hive > Configuration.
  3. Set the IP version to DUAL_STACK mode.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Restart the Hive service.
