Cloudera Migration Assistant 4.1 adds user and agent connection management, LDAP and Knox authentication integration, and platform updates for CDP Private Cloud Base migrations.

Cloudera Migration Assistant 4.1.0

User connection management

Users create User Connections on registered clusters to store Git and workload credentials in Vault. Scans and migrations resolve credentials for the signed-in user without embedding passwords in configuration files. See Managing user connections.

Agent connection management

Cloudera Manager and control plane endpoint connections are managed separately from cluster registration. New clusters registered through the CMA Agent receive the appropriate connection automatically. After upgrading from an earlier release, an administrator creates agent connections on the Connections page for clusters that were registered before 4.1.

Supported platforms

Release 4.1 continues CDP Private Cloud Base to CDP Private Cloud Base migrations, including HDFS to Ozone on supported clusters. See Supported platforms and migration paths for path and version requirements.

LDAP and Knox authentication

The Auth Server integrates with LDAP and discovers Knox SSO URLs for supported deployment patterns, including improved bootstrap behavior on secured clusters.
