Configuring Notifications for a Cloudera Data Engineering Service

Learn how to configure and manage Notifications service for a Cloudera Data Engineering Service.

  • You must have the NotificationSubscriber role to create and manage subscriptions.
  • You must have the DistributionListAdmin role to create and manage distribution lists.
  1. In the Cloudera console, click the Data Engineering tile. The Cloudera Data Engineering Home page displays.
  2. Click Administration in the left navigation menu. The Administration page displays.
  3. In the Services column, select the Service for which you want to configure or manage the Notification service.
  4. Click Service Details > Configuration > Notifications.The Notifications page displays.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Click Create Subscription if you want to set up a new email or In-app subscription. For more information, see Subscribing to resource notifications in the Cloudera Management Console documentation.
    • Click Create Distribution Lists if you want to set up a new distribution list. For more information, see Creating and managing distribution lists in the Cloudera Management Console documentation.
    • Click Manage Notification Subscriptions if you want to configure an existing subscription. For more information, see Subscribing to resource notifications in the Cloudera Management Console documentation.
    • Click Manage Distribution Lists if you want to configure an existing distribution list. For more information, see Creating and managing distribution lists in the Cloudera Management Console documentation.
    • Click Copy Subscription Link to copy the subscription link.
