Restarting Data Hub runtime services

  1. Run the following command using the Cloudera Data Hub CRN or name to identify the cluster.
    cdp datahub restart-runtime-services \
      --datahub "crn:cdp:datahub:us-west-1:cloudera:cluster:ef9fe264-ec48-4e12-aa62-b8f89b6f13c8" \
      --rolling-restart \
      --only-restart-stale-services
Progress is visible under the Data Hub's Event History in the MC. The cluster moves through UPDATE_IN_PROGRESS while the flow is running and returns to RUNNING when it finishes.
  2. You can monitor the progress on the command line.
Poll the Cloudera Data Hub with cdp datahub describe-cluster --cluster-name <name> and watch the status field. The configStalenessState field (visible on the underlying stack) transitions through RESTART_IN_PROGRESS and settles on UP_TO_DATE once Cloudera Manager reports every service back to FRESH.
