Enabling PNG , PDF, and PPTX download for dashboards

In Cloudera Data Visualization, you can allow users to download dashboards and their visuals in PNG, PDF, or PPTX format.

Dashboard download availability depends on both a global site setting and dashboard-level configuration:

  • The global site setting — Enable "Download as Image/PDF/PowerPoint" by default — determines whether downloads are enabled for all dashboards by default.

  • You can override this behavior for individual dashboards. Even if the global setting is turned off, you can still enable downloads for a specific dashboard.using the Dashboard Downloads setting on the dashboard level.

To enable or disable downloads for a dashboard for these steps.

  1. Open the dashboard in edit mode.
  2. On the right side of Dashboard Designer, click the Settings menu.
  3. Navigate to the Downloads menu.
  4. Select or clear the Enable "Download as Image/PDF/PowerPoint" checkbox.
    1. When selected, users can download the dashboard in PNG, PDF, or PPTX format.
    2. When cleared, download options are disabled for that dashboard, regardless of the global default.
