Specifying parameter scope

This setting ensures that parameters are passed appropriately based on the data context.

Select the appropriate scope from the dropdown to control how parameter-driven interactions affect different datasets.
  1. On the right side of Visual Designer, click Settings.
  2. In the Settings menu, click Parameters.
  3. To define how parameter values are applied across datasets in a visualization, select the appropriate scope for Param Scope from the dropdown menu.
    • All Datasets – The parameter value is applied to all datasets used in the dashboard.
    • Current Dataset – The parameter value is restricted to the dataset currently used in the visual.
    • Explicit – The parameter value is applied only to the datasets explicitly defined.
