Downloading a dashboard sheet as a PPTX file

You can download the current sheet of a dashboard as a PPTX file in Cloudera Data Visualization. This feature allows you to easily share insights or present visual content outside the platform.

When you download a dashboard as a PowerPoint file, the dashboard is converted into a slide set. The first slide contains the dashboard title and subtitle, followed by slides for each visual. Annotations are included alongside the visuals of the dashboard, when available.

Before you download the sheet as a PowerPoint file, make sure the download feature is enabled in site settings. For instructions, see Snapshots in Managing dashboard site settings.
  1. In the Dashboard Designer top menu bar, click to open the supplemental menu.
  2. Select Download as... > PowerPoint > Current sheet.

A message appears: Generating the requested file and Cloudera Data Visualization saves the sheet as a PowerPoint file.

You can reach the same action using the icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  3. When the download is complete, open your browser’s default download folder to locate the generated PowerPoint file.
