Cloudera Data Visualization, main navigation bar
The top secttion of the Cloudera Data Visualization ui is called the main navigation bar. It provides access to the primary areas of the application, as well as global tools and account settings.
The main navigation bar enables you to access the following interfaces and functions:

Area Purpose 1. Home View activity summaries, recent work, favorites, and create new content. For more information, see HOME interface. 2. SQL Create and run SQL queries against connected data sources. For more information, see SQL interface. 3. Visuals Create, edit, and manage data visuals, dashboards and applications. For more information, see VISUALS interface. 4. Data Manage connections, datasets, data models, and related data assets. For more information, see DATA interface. - Global controls

The right side of the navigation bar contains controls that are available from anywhere in the application.
Control Description 5. Search Search for dashboards, applications, visuals, datasets, queries, and other assets that you have permission to access. This field is only visible if search is enabled in the Site Settings. 6. Notifications View system notifications and updates relevant to your account. All users can view browser-level errors that may affect Cloudera Data Visualization. Additionaly, users with the appropriate permissions, such as administrators, can view activity logs, webserver errors, and system-level issues, including errors related to configuration changes such as applying advanced site settings.
7. Settings Access application settings and administrative functions. Available options depend on your assigned role and permissions. - Set Homepage: Configure a custom page to display when users sign in.
- Job Status: View the status and progress of jobs.
- Logs & Usage: Review recorded events and activity generated by data processing requests.
- Users & Groups: Manage user accounts, user groups, and access permissions.
- Manage Roles: Create and manage roles, define privileges, and assign roles to users groups.
- Manage URL aliases: Create and manage URL aliases for easier access to content.
- Manage API Keys: Create and manage API keys used to authenticate API requests and administrative operations.
- Email Templates: Create and manage email templates used for system-generated communications..
- Custom Styles: Define custom styling options for visuals and applications.
- Custom Colors: Create and manage custom color palettes for visualizations and applications.
- Custom Dates: Define reusable date ranges anchored to specific dates and times.
- Static Assets: Upload and manage images, CSS files, and JavaScript files for use across visuals, dashboards, and applications..
- Site Settings: Configure site-wide settings and behavior for visuals, dashboards, filters, and other application components
8. Help Access release summary, product documentation, and support resources. It also displays the version number of the running Cloudera Data Visualization instance.
9. User Menu View your account information and access user-specific actions, such as profile and session-related options. It also provides information on your last login date, and the username that identifies the current user. The user icon can be accompanied by small markers to indicate the following:- Regular user:
