Configuring fe_service_threads in CDW Private Cloud
The “fe_service_threads” configuration is used to specify the maximum number of concurrent client connections or threads allowed to serve client requests in an Impala Virtual Warehouse. The default value of the “fe_service_threads” configuration is 96. You can change the value of this configuration from the Impala Coordinator flagfile configurations in the Cloudera Data Warehouse (CDW) UI.
The recommended value of the “fe_service_threads” configuration is 96. Setting the value of this configuration lower than 96 can degrade performance.
- Log in to the Data Warehouse service as DWAdmin.
- Go to the Virtual Warehouses tab and locate the Impala Virtual Warehouse on which you want to set this configuration.
- Click .
- Go to flagfile from the Configuration files drop-down menu. and select
- Specify the value of the “fe_service_threads” configuration in the VALUE field.
- Click Apply Changes.
