Disabling Impala catalog high availability

You enable catalog high availability when you create a New Virtual Warehouse. You cannot turn on, but you can turn off catalog high availability after creating an Impala Virtual Warehouse. You turn off this feature by editing your Virtual Warehouse.

You must obtain the DWAdmin role.

1. Log in to the CDP web interface and navigate to the Data Warehouse service.
2. In the Data Warehouse service, click Overview in the left navigation pane.
3. In the Overview page under Virtual Warehouses, select a Virtual Warehouse, click , and select Edit.

   

4. In SIZING AND SCALING, scroll down to Enable Impala Catalog Server HA, and turn it off.
