Terminating a test session

When you terminate a test session, the underlying NiFi cluster is demolished.

Terminating a test session deletes the resources hosting the flow draft, including files uploaded for flow parameters. This helps you save on cloud provider costs, but requires you to start from scratch and start a new test session. If your test session requires complex setup and uploading files for configuration parameters, you may want to consider suspending your flow instead.
  • To terminate a flow from Flow Designer, go to Flow Options > Test Session and click Terminate. Confirm your choice by clicking Terminate in the modal.
  • To terminate a flow from Workspace Resources, go to Resources > [Workspace] > Flow Drafts > [More] and select Terminate Test Session.
Test session status changes to Terminating Test Session..., the underlying infrastructure is torn down, any files added as parameter values get deleted.

Once the termination process ends, test session status changes to Terminated Test Session.
