Managing collections

Associating a flow definition with a collection grants visibility and management access only to users or groups with permissions for that collection. This ensures that flow definitions remain accessible only to authorized users based on role-based access control (RBAC).

A flow definition can belong to only one collection at a time. If a flow definition is disassociated from a collection, it moves to an unassigned state, making it accessible to all users with sufficient permissions to the Cloudera Data Flow Catalog.

Make sure that you have DFCollectionAdmin or DFCollectionMember permission to perform this task. For information on account and resource roles, see Cloudera Data Flow Authorization.
