What's new in ML Runtimes version 2025.06.1

Review the major features and updates for ML Runtimes.

Improvements

  • CVE fixes - This maintenance release includes numerous improvements related to Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE).
  • The R major version has been upgraded to 4.5
  • Python 3.13 minor version has been added
  • Additional OS packages added to the R runtime to allow the installation of R libraries
  • Existing Python maintenance versions have been upgraded to:
    • Python 3.9.22 (from 3.9.21)
    • Python 3.10.17 (from 3.10.16)
    • Python 3.11.12 (from 3.11.11)
    • Python 3.12.10 (from 3.12.8)

Fixed issues

  • Resolved an issue where starting multiple jobs simultaneously using CRON could result in failures with the sqlite3.OperationalError: disk I/O error error message.

Behavioral changes

  • R 4.4 Runtime variant has been removed. You must plan to transition to supported R 4.5 version for your projects.
