AWS environment prerequisites The following resources should be in place on your cloud provider account prior to registering an environment. While some of these resources are optional, others are required: Credential for AWSYou must create a cross-account IAM role and register it as a credential in CDP prior to registering an environment. This is not optional. VPC and subnet (optional)To quickly get started, CDP can create a VPC and subnets for you. You can also create your own VPCs if you would like to use them for your production platform. Security groups (optional)To get started quickly, CDP can create the required security groups for you, but for production you may want to use your own security groups. SSH keyCDP requires that you provide a public SSH key which will be used for admin access to EC2 instances. Only those users who have the corresponding private key would be able to login as an admin user. The minimum SSH key size is 2048 bits.S3 bucket and instance profilesCDP requires that you create and provide at least one S3 bucket for storing workload data and logs. The S3 bucket must be in the same region as the environment. You also need to create and provide an AssumeRole instance profile and multiple instance profiles that allow access to the S3 bucket. This is not optional.DynamoDB table (optional)When registering an AWS environment in CDP, you will be asked to select a DynamoDB table to use for S3Guard.
