Disabling TLS/SSL for Phoenix, Kafka, or Impala services

Use Cloudera Manager to disable TLS/SSL for supporting services such as Phoenix, Impala or Kafka using the Observability service configuration property.

Environment safety valves allows you configure environment variables across the service and affect all components of Cloudera Observability On-Premises.
  1. In a supported web browser on the Cloudera Observability On-Premises cluster, log in to Cloudera Manager.
  2. Select Clusters > Observability > Configuration and filter by SCOPE > Observability (Service-Wide) and CATEGORY > Advanced.
  3. For the Observability Service Environment Advanced Configuration Snippet (Safety Valve) property, enter the following values:

    PHOENIX_SSL_ENABLED false
    IMPALA_SSL_ENABLED false
    KAFKA_SSL_ENABLED false
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Select Actions > Restart to restart the Observability service.
