Export configuration

The export configuration allows you to send a copy of OpenTelemetry collector telemetry data to third party exporters. This does not modify your core collector configuration. You can manage your telemetry export platforms for logs and metrics. This process duplicates the data stream so that your existing collector pipelines continue to function without interruption while distributing data into the new third-party observability platform.

The custom setup provides control over components like extensions and connectors. You can update the user-defined connectors into existing pipelines as exporters to define how your system processes and distributes telemetry.
