Export configuration

The export configuration allows you to send a copy of OpenTelemetry collector telemetry data to third party platforms. This does not modify your core collector configuration. You can manage your telemetry export destinations for metrics. This process duplicates the data stream so that your existing collector pipelines continue to function without interruption while distributing data into the new destinations.

The custom setup provides control over components like extensions, connectors, processors and service. You can update the user-defined connectors into existing pipelines as exporters to define how your system processes and distributes telemetry.
