Getting the JDBC or ODBC driver

You learn how to download the Cloudera Hive JDBC or ODBC driver and give clients outside the cluster access to Hive. You download the Cloudera Hive JDBC or ODBC driver to a HiveServer HS2 instance in your cluster. In the BI tool, you need to provide the information that the BI tool requires to connect to Hive in CDP.
