Install the NFS Gateway

The NFS Gateway is part of HDFS service. The NFS Gateway can be installed on any host managed by Cloudera Manager, including DataNode, NameNode, or CDP client machine. Start the NFS server on that machine.

Perform the following steps to install NFS Gateway role:
  1. In the Cloudera Manager Admin Console, go to Clusters > HDFS service.
  2. Navigate to the Instances tab and click Add Role Instances.
  3. Click NFS Gateway to choose the hosts to install the NFS Gateway role.
    The NFS Gateway is added to the host.
