Analyzing query execution profiles

Analyze runtime profiles to isolate performance degradation reasons and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).

  1. Your administrator must enable the required endpoint target flags within your existing Impala AI Functions configuration.
  2. You must configure Impala AI Functions. For instructions, see Impala AI functions.
  1. Go to Clusters > Impala Service > Web UI.
  2. Go to the Coordinator Web UI Query Details page for your query of interest.
  3. Open the AI Analysis tab.
  4. Click the Generate AI Analysis button.

    Review the generated performance summary text in the UI panel.

The AI Analysis tab provides a clear, plain-English summary that shows exactly when your query slowed down and how you can fix it. The automatic unredaction process displays the original table names, columns, and host identifiers directly within the report.
