Bundle upload with SmartSense Gateway through an HTTPS authenticated proxy
SmartSense 1.3.0 includes the following new features:
Automatic detection of environment-specific configurations, such as custom service user names, and configuration, home, and log directories
Capturing of the following data:
Additional component metrics for DataNode, NameNode, and NodeManager
Host-level metrics from AMS
Queue metrics for ResourceManager
Ambari Alert Log:
/var/log/ambari-server/ambari-alerts.log
Grafana configuration, logs, and dashboard definitions
Annonymization of secure information:
Apache Knox LDAP bind password
Wire encryption password
hadoop.security.group.mapping.ldap.bind.password
SSN and credit card numbers
Default removal of the following parameters from capture:
audit.log
ldap-password.dat
Azure and Amazon S3 credentials and keys
Expanded Hive metadata collection, which allows support and engineering departments to gather detailed information about Hive optimizations and configuration
Embedded SmartSense Gateway, which allows deployments with outbound internet access to upload bundles without having to explicitly install the SmartSense Gateway
Periodic removal of previously captured bundles (Bundles captured locally are removed after 30 days)
User experience improvements to the capture and browse pages in the SmartSense View
The following features are deprecated in SmartSense 1.3.0:
Support for Ganglia and Nagios diagnostics
