Support matrix for data migration
Data migration between FIPS compliance levels requires a fresh cluster installation for Cloudera Base on premises and Cloudera Manager workloads.
Upgrades between supported Cloudera versions with FIPS already enabled are fully supported, provided they maintain the same level of compliance.
When migrating between different compliance levels, such as from 140-2 to 140-3, you must perform a fresh installation and migrate your data from the source cluster to the new cluster, using Replication Manager.
The following table lists the supported source and target versions for migration and lists the supported source and target versions for migration, provided the source clusters are FIPS-enabled:
