When using SAML, users get removed from “Default group membership for new users” after second login

Users are removed from the “Default group membership for new users” (viz_guest_group by default) after they log in for the second time. In Cloudera Data Warehouse, non-admin users receive “Database Admin” roles based on their membership in a local “viz_guest_group” default user group. This means that they will lose their role-based privileges after logging in twice.

Workaround:

An admin user should manually assign the “Database Admin” role to a SAML-synced group.
