Behavioral changes

This release of the Cloudera Data Warehouse service on cloud supported by version 1.12.4-b57 of the service layer and runtime version 2025.0.21.2-9 has the following behavior changes.

Behavior changes in Cloudera Data Warehouse on cloud

Summary: Redesigned environment activation interface in the Cloudera Data Warehouse
Before this release: The Activate Environment page utilized a legacy workflow characterized by pop-up modal dialogs and older page layouts. This interface offered limited contextual guidance, and the navigation was not fully consistent with the modern Cloudera Data Warehouse design patterns.
After this release: The environment activation process for AWS and Azure has transitioned to new, dedicated Activate Environment pages. This update replaces the legacy modals with a modern, full-page layout that offers a more structured and guided experience. This change ensures that the environment activation flow is consistent with the current Cloudera Data Warehouse design system and navigation patterns.

Summary: Trino Virtual Warehouse Auto suspend is enabled by default in the creation form
Before this release: When creating a Trino Virtual Warehouse, the Auto suspend checkbox was disabled by default. Manually enabling it triggered a red warning message, as the backend functionality was not yet recommended.
After this release: When creating a Trino Virtual Warehouse in the Cloudera Data Warehouse UI, the Auto suspend checkbox is enabled by default because the backend auto-suspend functionality is now working correctly. The red warning message that previously appeared when enabling Auto suspend is now removed.
