Prerequisites for installing HttpFS are:
- A Unix-like system: see CDH 5 Requirements and Supported Versions for details
- Java: see Java Development Kit Installation for details
NoteTo see which version of HttpFS is shipping in CDH 5, check the Version and Packaging Information. For important information on new and changed components, see the CDH 5 Release Notes. CDH 5 Hadoop works with the CDH 5 version of HttpFS.
