Connecting Cloudera on premises with Cloudera on cloud

You must connect your on-premises and cloud environments using your Cloudera Base on premises cluster as a Classic Cluster. This means that the Cloudera Base on premises cluster is used as the Data Lake in your cloud environment.

You have the option to choose how to connecting your Cloudera on premises environment with Cloudera on cloud:
  • Option 1: You can add a Cloudera Base on premises cluster as a Classic Cluster
  • Option 2: You can connect your Cloudera on premises control plane with the Cloudera on cloud control plane
