Cloudera Observability real-time monitoring supports specific Cloudera Data Hub, Cloudera on premises, and Cloudera Manager versions.

Real-time monitoring feature support

  • Cloudera Observability real-time Monitoring is available for non-airgapped Cloudera on premises clusters. To use this feature, your environment must meet the following version requirements:
    • Cloudera Manager: Version 7.13.1.500 and higher or 7.13.2.0 and higher.
    • Runtime: Cloudera on premises 7.1.9 SP1 CHF1 and higher, 7.3.1.500 and higher, or 7.3.2.0 and higher.
  • Cloudera Data Hub 7.2.18.100 and higher
  • With Cloudera Data Hub 7.2.18.500 and higher and Cloudera on premises versions mentioned above, the Cloudera Observability real-time monitoring feature supports High Availability cluster setup with multiple active HiveServer2 roles.

Use cases

  • When the Cloudera on premises Base cluster with the versions mentioned above is created or upgraded before enabling the necessary entitlement, enable Cloudera Observability real-time monitoring using the Cloudera Manager user interface or Cloudera Manager API.
  • When the Cloudera Data Hub clusters with versions 7.2.18.100 and 7.2.18.200 are created or upgraded before enabling the necessary entitlement, enable Cloudera Observability real-time monitoring using the Cloudera Manager API.
  • When the Cloudera Data Hub cluster with the version 7.2.18.300 or higher is created or upgraded before enabling the necessary entitlement, enable Cloudera Observability real-time monitoring using the Cloudera Manager user interface.
