Track Cloudera Observability query cluster service metrics to optimize
query performance and detect issues, such as how long queries take to run, how many resource
usages are consumed while a query is running, and Determine if a particular query is slowing
down due to resource constraints or inefficient execution.
Describes where to view the Cloudera Observability query service
metrics.
Verify that you are logged in to the Cloudera Observability web UI and that you
selected an environment from the AnalyticsEnvironments page.
Log in to Cloudera in a supported
browser.
The Cloudera web interface landing
page opens.
From the Your Enterprise Data Cloud landing
page, select the Observability tile.
The Cloudera Observability landing page opens to the main navigation
panel.
From the Cloudera ObservabilityEnvironments page, select the environment required
for analysis.
The Environment navigation panel opens.
To view service metrics for an engine in the environment's cluster, do the
following:
Locate the query of interest by doing one of the following:
On the Cluster Summary page, locate the
Query Trend or Jobs
Trend chart widget.
Click the link displayed for the Total
Queries or Total Jobs
field.
On the Queries or Jobs
page, from the Query or
Job column, select the query or
job.
Optional: If not already expanded, from the Environment
navigation panel, expand the ENGINES
category and then select the engine.
From the .../***engine name***/Queries/Query
Details or .../***engine name***/Jobs/Job
Detailspage, select the Cluster
tab.
From the Metrics tab, select the name of the Cloudera Manager health test metric from the list of
services running on your workloads cluster. You can select up to five
metrics.
Metrics charts for the selected service are displayed.
