Chapter 1. Upgrading Ambari and HDP
Ambari and the stack managed by Ambari can be upgraded independently. Use this guide to upgrade an Ambari-2.7.1 managed, HDP-3.0.0 or -3.0.1 cluster to an Ambari-2.7.5-managed, HDP-3.1.5 cluster.

Before upgrading your current HDP version to HDP 3.1.5, you must ensure that all the hotfixes that you have on the current HDP version are included in HDP 3.1.5. If the hotfixes are not part of HDP 3.1.5 or you are not certain, you must contact the Cloudera Support. |
