Users of Cloudera Data Services on premises platform can now use
their own Unique Identifier (UID).
During the installation process you have the flexibility to run your containers
with the configurable UID. This enhancement mechanism ensures that there are no ingestion
failures during the deployment process due to UID values falling outside the users’ approved
range.
A new field is introduced during the installation process, allowing users to
change the UID if required, which would affect platform related namespaces. This change
involves updating UID for Pods to new IDs without affecting compliance standards.
The Data Services shall continue to use the hard-coded values.
