Installing OpenJDK

After you configure a repository, you can install OpenJDK on the Cloudera Manager Server host using your package manager.

important

If your are using OpenJDK versions 1.8 u242 or 11.0.6 and have enabled Kerberos, you may experience authentication errors when running cluster services. To work around this problem:

Log in to the Cloudera Manager Admin Console.
Go to Administration > Settings.
Select the Advanced category.
Locate the JVM Arguments for Java-based services parameter and enter the following:
```
-Dsun.security.krb5.disableReferrals=true
```
Restart any stale services.

RHEL Compatible

sudo yum install java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel
