Changing the field display format

Cloudera Data Visualization lets you configure the display format of each field at the dataset level.

  1. In the World Life Expectancy dataset, click Fields > Edit.

    This action adds an edit option () to each dataset field row.

  2. Under Measures, find the field gdp_per_capita and click the icon on its right side.

    The Edit Field Parameters modal opens.

  3. Click the Display Format tab.

    Under Display Format, you have several options in the Category menu:

    • None
    • Real Number
    • Integer
    • Percentage
    • Scientific
    • Currency
    • Date/Time
    • Custom Format
    • Custom Javascript
