Upgrading a Trino Virtual Warehouse in Cloudera Data Warehouse
on cloud involves a manual upgrade process, as the
Upgrade Now feature is not yet available for Trino, unlike Hive
or Impala Virtual Warehouses. Additionally, Trino Virtual Warehouses and their associated
Federation connectors are not supported by the standard environment restore command,
requiring a manual approach to transition to a newer image version.

In the Cloudera Data Warehouse environment, delete the existing
Trino Virtual Warehouse.

In the Federation Connector page, locate the default
Hive and Iceberg connectors associated with the deleted Virtual Warehouse and
delete them.

(Optional) Update or delete the custom federation connectors.

Create a new Trino Virtual Warehouse with the latest required image
version.
A new Trino Virtual Warehouse creation will automatically create and associate
the default Hive and Iceberg connectors.

(Optional) Associate the custom federation
connectors with the Trino Virtual Warehouse.
