Auditing in Agent Studio

Agent Studio provides comprehensive, granular built-in auditing operating at two separate infrastructure levels, on resource management level, and on workflow level. This governance architecture ensures absolute accountability across both organizational configuration modifications and operational executions without adding management overhead.

Resource management auditing

All structural administrative actions, specifically the creation, update, and deletion of agent workflows, specific agents, individual tools, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, are logged alongside the corresponding user's username. The platform captures these actions within a structured telemetry stream bound directly to the verified username of the authenticated session. This requires no additional user-side configuration and runs entirely transparently in the platform's backend.

Workflow auditing

Every run instance of a workflow or a deployed runtime endpoint is tracked down to individual sub-steps using the integrated Arize Phoenix observability engine. Every trace is tied directly to the unique identifier of the user who initiated the run, either using the Studio workbench or a deployed endpoint. Consequently, administrators can trace any agent or workflow process to a specific user, thereby ensuring accountability for both resource modifications and any workflow-related activities.
