Email address validation in Cloudera on cloud

Users must provide valid, non-placeholder email addresses to ensure high delivery success and communication integrity.

A validation mechanism has been implemented to ensure only active and valid email addresses are used during Distribution List (DL) creation and SP-Initiated Login processes. This initiative utilizes Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) to suppress addresses that cause delivery failures, thereby protecting Cloudera's sender reputation and improving overall deliverability.

Invalid or non-existent addresses risk permanent failure and inclusion in a suppression list, which can degrade delivery success rates. While the system confirms mailbox existence only after a delivery attempt or bounce, best practices mandate the use of reachable, non-placeholder email addresses to maintain communication integrity.
