- The supported Apache Iceberg version in Cloudera Iceberg REST Catalog has been upgraded from
1.3.0to1.10.1. - Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 support for Data Sharing
- Data Sharing now fully supports Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2) via vended credentials. External engines, such as Spark, can access shared tables securely using Azure User Delegation Shared Access Signature (SAS) tokens generated by Knox IDBroker. - The Data Sharing user interface in Cloudera Data Catalog enables Data Providers to manage logical data shares and external user access. Key features include lifecycle management of data shares, detailed share metrics, and secure credential handling for external Data Consumers. - Automatically Deployed Knox Topologies
- You no longer need to manually deploy your Knox topologies to set up Data Sharing. You only need to set the lifetime of Data Share by setting the relevant Knox token lifetime. Additionally, you can create your external users here. For more information, see Editing Knox topologies.
- Azure Environment Support Introduced
- Cloudera Iceberg REST Catalog now supports data sharing on Azure Cloud environments for Snowflake external tables only. For more information, see Creating a Data Share.
